Children of Fallen Patriots
(short fundraising videos)
The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation provides college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Twice a year at its fundraising events, it shows a short film highlighting the stories of a few families who have benefited from the foundation's outreach.
Matt began scoring these films for Todd Douglas Miller in 2010, and he continues to score two films a year for the CFPF. He considers it an honor to get to help tell these families' stories, and to support this amazing organization.

(TV spots, music branding)
Bon Secours Mercy Health is a regional healthcare system employing over 32,000 people at 400+ facilities throughout the midwest.
Matt composed the music for two of their recent TV ad campaigns, and apparently the collaboration went so well that people were calling the hospitals asking where they could buy the tracks!
They later extended the music licenses so that it could be used for additional commercials, in-house videos, public meetings, and hold music for the next five years.

A 1-minute sample from the performance at 934 Gallery
934 Gallery (Columbus, OH) asked Matt to compose and perform a piece of music inspired by the art exhibition 'Was It a Cat I Saw: Paintings and Mixed Media by Saya Da Jung'.
His performance concept: "Many of the source images Saya Da Jung chooses for her paintings and digitally manipulated prints represent things she desires. With titles like "I Wish I Have; Sexy Legs," "Venus in the 21st Century," and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," her work evokes a deep longing for something more, something different than what she already has, something that will finally complete her or bring her lasting happiness. Many of them look hazy, out of focus, incomplete, or abstracted. When I first saw her work, I felt like I was eavesdropping on her daydreams – the sort of dreams and wishes that all of us hold inside ourselves, journal about, and silently speak when we blow out our birthday candles or drop a coin into a wishing well. We don't speak them out loud for fear that they won't come true, or that we'll be judged or made fun of for them. But our silent desires and dreams shape our lives tremendously. My performance attempts to create a musical analog of Saya's work – a misty, dreamlike soundscape built up live, layer by layer using a guitar and various effects pedals (including a looping pedal). I invite the listener to take part by meditating upon his or her own unspoken dreams and desires. What do you wish you had? Who do you wish you were? Would you truly be happy if those dreams came true, or are you wishing for things that could never quench your thirst? What messages are your heart and mind trying to send you that you're too busy or too scared to tune into?"
Donations were accepted for the performance and were donated to the Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky, & Indiana Chapter.
The Full-length performance (with introduction)
Lauren Adams (choreographer, director) produced this beautiful video (which is dedicated to her husband, one of Matt's lifelong best friends) featuring dancers Matt Luck and Ida Saki. After a conversation with Lauren about her concept for the piece, Matt remembered an unused song idea that he thought might work and sent it to her. It ended up fitting the vibe just right, so Matt set to work customizing it for length and format. The dancers performed the piece in one flowing, unbroken shot (filmed by Nathan Kim).
Matt's song for this video (titled "Falling") is available on iTunes
'Beauty of the Fight'
John Urbano (Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban, Garnier, Converse, American Eagle) discovered the Panama City neighborhoods of Barraza and El Chorrillo through a friend who suggested it as a good place for a photography expedition. As he met and photographed the residents, they told him about their struggle to survive in the face of crippling poverty, gang violence, and real estate developers eager to snatch up their increasingly valuable waterfront land. He quickly realized he needed to document this dying neighborhood before it was too late. 'Beauty of the Fight' played at 29 film festivals in 9 different countries, and also on TV in Panama. All proceeds from the film and photography book went directly to the Barraza community center.

"Times Square Live"
(for their flagship store launch)
This video was created for the launch of American Eagle's flagship store in Times Square. A specially-formatted version of it played on its 25-story multi-panel video screen, and a standard version played on TVs in all American Eagle stores. Matt had two days to complete it, and had to match the steadily-increasing tempo of the temp track beat for beat since there wasn't time to re-edit the cut.
(for Abercrombie's women's intimates brand)
Filmed in Australia, this video was part of the launch of Abercrombie & Fitch's women's intimates brand, Gilly Hicks.
"Endless Summer of Love"
(In-store and Online Video)
Created for the launch of their summer floorset, "Endless Summer of Love" played on American Eagle's Times Square video wall as well as on TVs in all its stores. Matt collaborated with rapper Eric Rollin of Mistar Anderson on this one.
